CESAR will be present at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2026, the premier global event for the offshore energy industry, held from May 4 to 7 in Houston (USA). In partnership with Petrobras experts, the institution had two technical articles approved for presentation, reinforcing the role of Brazil’s most complete innovation and knowledge center in developing robust research and solutions for strategic sectors.

Participating in OTC 2026 is part of CESAR’s diversification strategy and strengthens its leading role in debates about the future of energy. In addition to the presentations, the team will also focus on capturing global insights and trends, contributing to knowledge generation and the dissemination of innovative practices in both the Brazilian and international markets.

Approved articles na OTC 2026

The selected papers address critical challenges in the offshore industry and explore innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, and real-time data analytics.

1. Orchestrated Pipeline For Enhanced Geoscience Document Retrieval

Developed in collaboration between CESAR and Petrobras, the article presents a modular and automated framework for the efficient retrieval of information in complex geoscience databases. The solution combines AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to optimize access to strategic data, increasing precision and agility in decision-making.

2. Optimizing Well Placement, Delivery, and Integrity through Analytics, Automation, and Real-Time Monitoring

The second article proposes an innovative approach for estimating fatigue in subsea wellheads based on operational data and continuous monitoring. The solution enables faster and more accurate assessments, reducing operational risks and costs associated with structural failures — a significant advancement for subsea asset integrity.

“One of the major bottlenecks in the sector is the so-called ‘Innovation Valley of Death,’ the gap between academic research and practical application at scale. The two articles we are presenting at OTC 2026, developed with Petrobras, are concrete examples of how CESAR manages to overcome this barrier, uniting artificial intelligence, automation, and data analytics to generate operational efficiency,” highlights Breno Alencar, Development and Operations Manager at CESAR, who will be at the event alongside other experts from the innovation center.

All of them will be leading the technical presentations and covering learnings, trends, and innovation cases during OTC 2026.

With three decades of experience in RD&I, CESAR combines knowledge and practical application to develop technologies that drive productivity, safety, and sustainability in the Oil and Gas sector.
