A.M.I.G.O.S: using social networks to manage corporate knowledge

RESUMO

The majority of companies are looking for strategies to support their members’ collaboration. One of the main challenges is how to create, manage and share knowledge. The social network approach aims outgrowing these challenges by exchanging information through relationships between its members. This work presents a.m.i.g.o.s, a web-based social network (WBSN) which is able to maintain the organization knowledge, and compares its use to some other initiatives. The tool presented in this work has been in use by C.E.S.A.R, a Brazilian Innovation Center of Studies and Systems development, since 2006.
